Dallas Murrae's newest single, "Shasta," featuring Mark Battles, is a refreshing, soul-drenched original. Recorded and produced in a rented Nashville apartment just off Broadway with his closest friends, "Shasta" is a memory in melody.

The song breathes like something old does, mixing Dallas's hallmark melodic hip-hop with a laid-back, lo-fi intimacy akin to reading someone's favorite journal entry. Pulling aural threads from such influences as Blackbear and Mike, Dallas drifts back and forth between velvety vocals and lyricism, making an equally infectious and gut-wrenching sound.
